Jessie J performed last night |
Last night’s Blackberry party should have been an amazing night with stars, journo's and competition winners rubbing shoulders. With the talented Jessie J and Wretch 32 performing, it should have been a night to remember but for some, it was a night they’d rather forget. As guests partied on the dance floor, one man was stabbed leaving him lying on the floor in a pool of blood.
Stars such as Fazer from N Dubz, Nicola McLean, Lizzie Cundy and various cast members from TOWIE and Made in Chelsea gathered at the Pulse nightclub aka Bankside Vaults off Southwark Street, London for the event celebrating Blackberry Messenger. But what started off as an amazing night, ended in horror as tweets from revelers last night emerged that guests were being held following an ‘incident.’ It was soon revealed that a man was stabbed with a broken bottle following an altercation on the dance floor, shortly after Jessie J had finished her set. Guests were left stranded for hours as police swooped in and held everyone at the venue until they had everyone’s personal details.
A witness at the event told the Telegraph newspaper ‘Everyone tried to leave at the same time but the organisers weren't geared up for it and there was a huge rush to get to the cloakroom.

"People were crying and quite a lot were being sick, whether from the blood or the alcohol"
Eventually, police let guests leave at around 1.50am.The victim thought to be in his 30’s was stretchered off into an ambulance, whilst a 25 year-old man had been arrested and taken into custody.
Jessie J, who wore a striking polka dot leotard/playsuit thingy, purple lippy, large gold hoops and her hair in a top-knot tweeted about the incident this morning: ‘My thoughts are with the person who was seriously injured last night at the Blackberry party. So sad. I really hope they are ok."
A spokesman for Blackberry-maker Research in Motion (RIM) said: "Our first concern is the well-being of the individual concerned.
"We are doing all that we can to assist the police with their inquiries."
